Tanu Weds Manu Returns Is A Clear Blockbuster

Tanu Weds Manu Returns released 2300 screens all over India and it took huge start at the Box Office. Film opened to very good occupancy all over. Reviews were positive and word of mouth was exceptional. Film scored very well in central India and north though it was a bit slow in western and south India.

Film collected very good 8.85 crores on day one followed by 38 crores plus over weekend. Film remained super strong on weekdays and with almost similar numbers on each weekday, film crossed 70 crores in week one.

Film collected 46.45 crores in second week and it has reached 116.52 crores in two weeks. Now film is a clear blockbuster. Film will cross 125 crores by end of 3rd week and 130 crores by end of the run.

Even in overseas film has collected healthy figures 34 crores in fourteen days. Its success proves that there is huge demand for a massy content and family film. Super hit!

Dil Dhadakne Do Is Heading For A Good Week One

Dil Dhadakne Do released in 2300 screens in India and Film took a decent start in Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune but was weak in territories like Rajasthan, CP and CI. Film was supposed to grow for sure from evening onwards but film remained just good over weekend due to poor show outside metro.

The film collected 10.53 crores in it’s first day, which was a decent total considering the star cast. Film was expected to jump big in the region of 30-40% but it grew around 25% with 12.27 crores on Saturday. Film collected 14.25 crores on sunday with again marginal growth.

The film collected 5.77 crores on monday followed by 5.09 crores on tuesday and 4.48 crores on wednesday. The film hold well on week days and collected a decent figures.

Film has total of 52.39 crores in six days and this is a decent total as film needs now super solid weekdays followed by solid second weekend in order to make an impact. The film had a good start in overseas and the total overseas collections stand at 24.55 crores.

Film released yesterday and should release across 1000 screens. Film has good chances at box office as its a film which will get family audience and kind of 1st out and out comedy film after some time. Film will depend on word of mouth to sail through as ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ will pose challenge despite being in 2nd week.

Review:

Shammi (Arshad Warsi) and Kedar Patel (Jackky Bhagnani) are like Lloyd and Dunne of Dumb and Dumber. They are bestiez who have grown up together. Kedar is the son of Mitesh Patel (Dalip Tahil) who is an event manager for weddings in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Shammi on the other hand is an ex-navy officer who is kicked out of the force thanks to his stupidity. While Kedar is obsessed with going to the U.S., after being rejected a visa because of his surname.

On a drunk night, Shammi suggests that he and Kedar leave for America on a cruise, even though they laugh it off in that instance, in a freak accident by the sea, Kedar and Shammi who are supposed to manage a wedding baraat on a cruise, leave without the baraatis only to lose their direction and land up in Karachi, Pakistan.

What entails is a series of stupid events as they enter forbidden territories of Taliban.

Kangana Ranaut’s Tanu Weds Manu Beats Baby, Enters The 100 Crore Club

The times when big-budget movie have failed to gain even marginal profit, a subtle romantic movie , with obviously not a big budget has entered into the league of 100 crore club. And, amazingly the movie is not even Super Star Hero oriented.
